Arts category is a melting pot of artists, all demonstrating
their own brand of beat. Featuring the Albury City/Border
Mail amplified music stage as well as the 105.7 The
River 'chill out 'tent for acoustic acts; Applause offers
a tune for everyone!

music, knife juggling, audience participation, dazzling displays

Demonstrations by the local contingent of swing dancers performing
swing dancing from the days of the Jitterbug in the 40's,
including aerials, Charlston and Lindy Hop.

Julia Eastoe, Grace West and Ruth Horsfall will perform playing

Kayla will be performing a solo compilation of the descant

A band consisting of Mairead Hynes on keyboard, Joe Toole
on the guitar and Millie Gibson on vocals performing Top 40

SIGHTED KNIGHT

A duologue from the nearsighted knight and the far sighted
dragon. The knight tries to rescue the princess but alas,
things go terribly wrong

the accompaniment of both acoustic and electric guitars

position themselves between Amp Lane & Kiewa St, capturing

with a large community canvas.

Kim
Kaos
Over the past 18 years Kim Kaos has established herself as an
entertainer of truly international appeal. Using diverse skills
such as lasso spinning, magic, juggling and balancing a tower
of boxes on her chin Kim has delighted audiences spanning four
continents. Along with performing Kim has a long-standing reputation
as a teacher and supporter of Circus Arts. She has taught circus
skills at the Flying Fruit Fly Circus, Circus Oz, and the Women's
Circus, National Institute of Circus Arts, Geelong Grammar,
The Blackrobats, Such Lives and several National Circus Festivals.

Leaping
Loonies
Drawing of the great international traditions of popular
physical performance, The Leaping Loonies incorporate
the many and varied disciplines of acrobatics. From tumbling,
balancing, vaulting, teeter board & group acrobatics
to the other circus/vaudeville skills such as juggling,
clowning, unicyling, fire juggling and knockabout slapstick
routines. Recipients of the Australian Entertainment Industry
Mo Awards & the NSW Dept of Educations 2001 Frater
Award. |
